Understanding Execution Modes

Covers the four Growth OS execution modes: GOVERNED_PUSH, MANUAL_TASK, READ_ONLY, and UNAVAILABLE — what each means and when it applies.

OutcomeNo ungoverned actions taken because of misunderstood execution modes
1

Governed push

Governed push means the platform can prepare or propose an action, but an accountable person must review and approve it before it affects a live system. The approval is part of the evidence trail.

2

Manual task

Manual task mode creates work for a person to complete. The platform does not pretend the work has been done just because the task exists. The task needs its own completion evidence.

3

Read-only and unavailable

Read-only mode allows inspection without changes. Unavailable means the capability cannot be used in the current context, usually because configuration, permissions, or integration access is missing.

Portal completion

Assigned users complete this module, assessments, acknowledgements and evidence requirements inside the Lumio-Tek Portal.
